About Monash University Malaysia
Monash University Malaysia opened in 1998 as the Malaysian campus of Monash University, Australia. Located in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, it was Malaysia’s first foreign university campus and follows the academic standards applied across the wider Monash system. Students study for Monash qualifications while completing their programme in Malaysia. The campus offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research study across arts and social sciences, business, information technology, engineering, medicine and health sciences, pharmacy and science. Depending on the course, students may also explore double-degree, honours, research or mobility opportunities. Course structure and professional recognition differ by discipline, so applicants should review the individual programme before applying. For undergraduate admission, applicants normally need a recognised pre-university or Year 12 qualification and must satisfy the academic, English-language and age requirements of their chosen course. Monash University Malaysia does not offer its own pre-university or foundation programme, so students completing SPM, IGCSE or O-Level will generally need an appropriate pathway qualification before entering a bachelor’s degree.
