Can you go straight to a Degree after IGCSE?
Typically, no. IGCSE is a secondary-school qualification, while bachelor programmes normally require a recognised post-secondary or Pre-University qualification. Do not choose only by speed. A one-year pathway is not useful if its subjects or recognition do not lead to the degree you eventually want.
Plan backwards from the Degree
Your Pre-U subjects can affect which Degrees stay open later.
Medicine and health programmes may need specific Sciences. Engineering commonly requires strong Mathematics and Physics preparation. Computing programmes can have Mathematics requirements. The safest order is to decide your likely field first, then select a pathway and subjects that preserve that option.
