The Diploma in Fashion Design & Pattern Making at The One Academy combines creative fashion development with the technical construction skills required to turn design ideas into wearable garments. Based on the ESMOD approach, the programme brings together fashion design, pattern making, draping, cutting and sewing so that students understand both the creative and production sides of garment development. Students study fabrics, colour, trends and market considerations while learning flat-pattern methods and draping techniques used to create prototypes. As they progress, they develop collections for specific fashion markets and build the ability to communicate and present their ideas professionally. The programme is suited to students who want hands-on training in both design and garment construction and who are interested in developing a personal fashion direction grounded in practical industry skills.
