These Terms of Use & Service Information apply when you use gouni.my or ask GoUni Consulting (“GoUni”, “we”, “us” or “our”) for education counselling, university/course information or application support. By using the website you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly. Where you submit an application through GoUni, you also confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
1. Education information is not a guarantee
GoUni aims to keep course, fee, intake, scholarship, ranking, entry-requirement and university information useful and current. Education providers may change their programmes, fees, intakes, requirements, scholarships and policies without notice. Official information and formal documents issued by the relevant university, college, authority or service provider take priority if there is any difference.
2. Admission, scholarship and visa decisions
GoUni can advise, prepare and assist, but admission offers, scholarship awards, credit exemptions, visa approvals and other third-party decisions are made by the relevant institution, authority or provider. GoUni does not guarantee a particular admission, scholarship, visa, processing time, ranking outcome, employment result or other third-party decision.
3. GoUni service fees and third-party costs
GoUni’s standard student counselling and application-support service is generally provided without a GoUni service fee because partner institutions may compensate GoUni. This does not mean every cost connected with studying is free. Universities, examination bodies, visa authorities, insurers, accommodation providers, banks, couriers or other third parties may charge their own application, deposit, tuition, visa, test, insurance, accommodation or administrative fees. We will not intentionally present a third-party charge as a GoUni fee.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and genuine information and documents; checking important application details before submission; meeting institution and authority deadlines; telling us promptly about changes to your contact details, results or circumstances; and paying any third-party fees or deposits that you choose to proceed with. Do not submit forged, altered or misleading documents.
5. Authority to assist with applications
When you ask GoUni to submit or manage an application on your behalf, you authorize us to use the information you provide for that application and to communicate with the relevant institution or service provider for the requested purpose. You may ask us to stop acting on an application, subject to actions already taken and any third-party rules or deadlines.
6. Personal data
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Personal Data Protection & Privacy Notice. Application/service communications are distinct from optional marketing communications.
7. Website availability and third-party links
We try to keep gouni.my available and accurate, but the website may occasionally be unavailable or contain an error. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not mean GoUni controls their content, availability, security or policies.
8. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, GoUni website text, layouts, branding, original graphics and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and use the site for personal education-planning purposes, but you may not copy, republish, scrape at scale, sell or commercially exploit GoUni content without permission. University names, logos and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Reasonable limitation
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GoUni is not responsible for losses caused solely by decisions, delays, system failures or policy changes of universities, government authorities or other independent third parties, or by inaccurate/incomplete information supplied by a user. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms when our website, services or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
